Arriving Split on a Monday

Hi there,

- Is Monday a bad time to explore Split as I understand most museums are closed on Mondays in Croatia.

- Is the Diocletian%26#39;s Palace closed on Monday? I tried googling online but was not able to find any official website of the Diocletian%26#39;s Palace.

-Are there any lockers in Split train or bus station as I intend to leave my backpack and explore Split in the day and will be going to the airport in the evening to catch a flight to Zagreb. How safe are the lockers?

Any advice is much appreciated!

Any time is great to explore Split; As I know, the Mestrovic Gallery is closed on Mondays, but the other museums should be opened from 9 Am to 2 PM.

The Palace is the city center, so you can always take a walk.

And yes, there are lockers (named Garderoba) in the bus station; the price is 15 Kuna and it should be safe, because there is always someone to look after.

The Palace is always open and most of the key cultural attractions in the Palace are also open on Mondays. The Ethnographic Museum, behind the Vestibul in the Palace is open, but the Split City Museum is not. But the Archeological Museum, a 15 minute walk from the Palace is. You can also store your stuff at Travel 49 in the Palace and at Lifejacket Adventures, behind the Sv. Frane Church at the end of the Riva. Check the city%26#39;s website at www.visitsplit.com for up to date info.
