We recently stayed in this apartment and were extremely happy with it. The owner, Miho Lobrovic, was very helpful, both picking us up and taking us back to the airport free of charge as we had booked for ten days. The apartment itself is a quite small two bed, and nothing fancy, but what you are paying for are the views, which are spectacular, and the small terrace which overlooks the city wall and sea - rare in Dubrovnik.
We travelled with our one year old and Miho could not have been more helpful. He arranged for a high chair in the apartment, a travel cot, and even found us some storage space for the buggy down near Stradun, so we didn%26#39;t have to carry it up the steps.
Yes - the trade-off for the fantastic views is that you have a few minutes walking up and down the steps in the old town to get from central Stradun to the apartment, but this just means you are out of the tourist centre. Even better, you are 30 seconds away from the Buza bar, which is just an extraordinary place to have a beer in the sunshine.

Lesley218-
I hope we made a good choice with this apartment, there have been some comments made on this board that the review might be coming from same individual. I hope that is not the case.

We spent the bank holiday weekend at Apartment Lobrovic and had an amazing weekend. Why?
The location of this apartment is just superb - it is right in the heart of the Old Town, on the South side (near Buza beach ..... a must visit for anyone visiting Dubrovnik)...... Not only is in the heart of the Old Town, it is perched in such a way to offer panaromic views of the Old Town and the Adriatic riviera.....
It was amazing to sit in the kitchen with the windows wide open, drinking a lovely bottle of Croatian wine and listening to the live band playing near St Blasius. The atmosphere is something words can%26#39;t justify. During the day we enjoyed a barbeque in the balcony absorbing the Adriatic vistas .... and peeping at those walking the walls!
It was just great! The apartment made us feel at home .... it is just right in terms of size .... and contained everything we needed....
I would recommend the apartment ... and those of you who having doubts .... please don%26#39;t as it really is a special place!
We were concerned about the reviews on this site .... however speaking to apartment owner (very helpful guy) .... confirmed that there was no form of self promotion .... he seens to get frequenr travellers staying there .... and it is almost impossible to get a reservation due to the apartmet being very popular for its superb views!

This is blatant SPAM, you can fool some of the people some of the time......

My wife and I just returned from staying in this apartment in Old Town. I would say besides the steps which we needed after all the bread, wine and pasta, we had a good experience with this apartment. We loved the authenticity of this neighborhood as it is away from the tourist scene, although you will be taken back a little with the building the apartment is housed in. However, the apartment is clean, large and has everything you need. Miho, the owner, was great and helped us in any way we needed.

My parents and I just returned from five weeks in Europe, and Apartment Lobrovic was by far the best place we stayed during the entire vacation. The apartment sits along Dubrovnik%26#39;s world famous wall, boasts absolutely stunning views from every window, and features a charming little grape-vine covered deck that looks over the wall into the blue Adriatic beyond. Fabulous!
Miho Lobrovic, who lived in the apartment for years, couldn%26#39;t have been kinder or more helpful. Although we arrived by ferry from Italy at a very early hour, Miho was waiting for us at the station as promised and allowed us to check in right away. (A quick note: Be sure to check ferry crossings prior to booking if you%26#39;re not traveling in peak season, June-Sept, as ferries run much less frequently at other times of the year.)
Miho made sure we had everything we needed, including help with the bags to and from the apartment free of charge, maps, printed info about local activities, and recommendations for restaurants and shops. Before he left, he explained how to use the satellite tv (which we never watched) and wireless internet. The apartment is furnished comfortably and is very well-equipped. We didn%26#39;t lack anything in our four night stay.
Two caveats: First, the jaw-dropping views are made possible by the apartment%26#39;s enviable hilltop position. However, hills = steps, and there are a lot of them. My parents who are in their sixties had no problem reaching the apartment though, as long as they took a couple of quick breathers during the trek. Second, the first floor of the apartment was damaged during the war and as of yet has not been repaired by the government. We were taken aback on our initial foray into the building, fearing what the apartment above would be in similar condition. We were very relieved when Miho opened the door and we saw the lovely condition of his apartment.
Would I recommend Apartment Miho? In a heartbeat. I would also recommend the Buza bar just below it, identified via the sign saying %26quot;Cold Drinks%26quot; that points to a hole in the wall. Step through it and you%26#39;ll see tables clinging to the side of a hill that drops steeply away from the wall into the sea. You can walk (climb?) down through the bar to the rocks below and jump off into the cool water. Heaven.

My wife and I stayed in the apartment Lovrovic in June 2009 and had a great time in Dubrovnik. The views from the apartment are stunning, over the whole of the old town and to the city walls. I agree that they are the real draw of staying here. It is a homely apartment with two bedrooms, a living room and kitchen - it%26#39;s like living as a local. It was nice to stay away from the tourists in the main streets of the old town in a quiet area above the town. Yes, you need some stamina to get up the steps (tip: from our experience, you may need some help if you have large luggage - the owner arranged that help for us), and you do need to see beyond the entrance to the apartment which has not been repaired since the war. We would come back again.

I forgot to mention that you can have a look at Apartment Lobrovic via Miho%26#39;s website at: dubrovnik-sunshine.com/ApartmentsOldTown.htm
The photos don%26#39;t do it justice. The furnishings are comfortable, the views are world-class.
