Wheat free in dubrovnik

Hi

Im off to dubrovnik in october and suffer from coeliacs disease, ie I cant eat wheat and gluten, do you think I will be able to get wheat free products there as i dont really want to carry too much food with me due to allowance. I will be ok at dinner time its mainly at lunch time when people eat sandwiches and bread type foods and also breakfasts that I suffer. Any suggestions would be great

I wouldn%26#39;t know specificaly for Dubrovnik. I have seen some gluten free products in big food stores, for example Billa. Somebody told me that it is possible to get gluten free in many restaurants nowadays.

For Dubrovnik I just found the address of this pharmacy selling glutenfree products:

Dubrovnik, Ljekarna Čebulc, Obala S. Radića 44, tel. ++00385 20 419 292;

Bread must probably be ordered in advance.

It is usually possible to find gluten-free items at restaurants as long as you eat meat and fish, but breakfast is hard because Croatians mostly eat pasteries. If you want to buy some breakfast foods at a shop, there is a place called Bio %26amp; Bio, which is a organic/health food shop in the Mercante shopping plaza in Gruz. You can take the bus here from the Old Town. They have lots of gluten-free products. For lunch or dinner, I would check out the restaurant Nishta in the Old Town. It is vegetarian and they know how to cater to special diets.
