is it ok to drink tap water in Split?

Yes, it tastes great, much better than water on the south coast (but I do miss London tap water).

Do not worry about water in Split.It is good and still is came from 1700 years old acquadute which was build by Diocletian.Best water in Croatia you will find in Split and Plitvice.I suggest my guests when doing sihgtseeing to try water and remember good taste of water from Split

There are numoerous fountains in Split and all are safe.In the Palace proper, there are several...get a free copy of Diocletian%26#39;s Palace Map to see where they are. On the Riva, there are two spigots where folks fill their bottles, etc. Just after the first row of benches, close to the water. And at the bus station, just before the pass through to the train platform, there is am outdoor fountain attached to the wall of cafe.

I am tourist guide in Split and I suggest to guests to drink tap water in all Split even in the city from the fountain.I drink this water all ny life 53 years and still I am alive.Also Split and Plitvice we have best water in Croatia
