You should read the answer on the Top questions about Zadar. If there is anything not clear, ask me again.
Anyway, there is a bus after every flight from the airport to the center (or to the bus station near Arbanasi). It costs about 25 kuna (3 euro more/less). Don%26#39;t use the taxi.

The airport is only about 8 km distant from the city so I suggest you to use the taxi in the evening, even if there is also a bus line. You can check it on the airport site:

Hi Tamerlano- I never noticed the %26#39;top questions%26#39; button above before; doh! So thanks- you learn every day. But to repeat my advice from a trip only a few months ago, and assuming Gemxi that from Herts you%26#39;ll arrive on the late Stansted-Ryanair flight- in the dark,when you might not fancy finding your accomodation from the bus station...
%26#39;Taxi wins for me, and in our experience, you%26#39;re less likely to get ripped off in Croatia then anywhere in the UK. Last week we were charged just over 20 quid taxi from the Ryanair evening flight right into the old town, then, a few days later, well less than 20 quid back to the airport from the ferry port, a little closer, but still in the old town. Both were proper, regulated taxis, and when I asked the price as we got in, they confirmed they were on the meter.
This friendly, transparent approach to pricing was repeated throughout our 5 night stay; every bar had a priced drinks menu on each table, tourist offices on the islands quoted (cheap) prices for apartments and the owners stuck to them (in our case, 30 quid a nite for a 4-bed apartment with sea views in Sali, on Dugi Otok island- great place).
So leave your cynicism behind- it%26#39;s more likely you%26#39;ll get ripped off in Herts or London%26#39;

Alexmac, you copied your post from 25th May word for word except the intro so something not quite right....
Anyway, taxi fare can vary in price from £15 - £35 so i advise caution.

I will be arriving from Pisa to Zadar, so no worries of late taxi ride...Very nice for your advice! :))
I will get the cheap-as-chips trasnfer to Zadar Town I think then, as soon as I can, take a coach/bus to Novalja where the hotel is.
Is it nice scenery to Novalja from Zadar you know?
thanks, Gemxi

Don%26#39;t worry, Zadar is a quiet place. Nothing is going to happen in the late evening. There is a bus connection to the center after every flight and you can get to your hotel without problem.
