I%26#39;m getting an error message on Blue Line ferries website, do they still run a ferry from Ancona to Hvar? Do I need to book now or can I just turn up? And what is the timetable like? Is it overnight or during the day? I will be travelling next week.
Also, is there a ferry service from Hvar to Dubrovnik? How long does this take?

Have not checked the timetables myself, but I never heard of any direct ferry to Hvar out of the main season, i.e. July and Aug.
Hvar -Du twice a week by Jadrolinija%26#39;s m/v Marco Polo on Tuesdays and Saturdays, some 7 hours I think.
Have you checked the Bari -Dubrovnik possibility?

Thanks.
There is the option of travelling from Ancona to Split, as I understand there is a regular ferry service there, or from Venice to north Croatia.
Basically, I will be ready to leave Venice either on 23rd Sept night or 24th Sept day. And want to spend 26/27 Sept in Dubrovnik before heading to Split on 28th for my flight out.
Will I be able to fit in an island stop over between Venice and Dubrovnik? If not, then I may have to think about another option in Italy before I get to Croatia.

Only 4-5 days, as I understand, is not much time. Maybe just some day trip to Elaphity islands from Dubrovnik.
Ferries from Italy to split run daily.

The issue here is how much of a round trip are you wanting or are prepared to take.
I would possibly give Dubrovnik a miss as at least 2 days are going to be spent travelling inside Croatia.....not that this is a great trauma as the scenery is brilliant.
Think you can do a train to Ancona....go to Hvar for 3 nights via Split ...its only an hour.
stay Hvar come back and go to trogir for 2 nights and do over Split at the same time.
