Istria in 10 days - do I need to pre-book accommodation?

I%26#39;ll be in Istria in about 10 days. Will I be able to find a sobe in the Pazin, Umag or Rovinj area when we get there? We%26#39;ll be staying for 3 nights and our budget is around 60 euros per night (2 persons).

There%26#39;s no need to book in advance, you%26#39;ll find place anywhere.

You will need much less than 60 eur /night in September in Istria, especially if you stay all the 10 days in one place, which I recommend you. Istria is not big enough that you have to change your location. You can base in Rovinj and make day trips around Istria.

If you have a car you can stay outside of these towns and get a better deal. 3 nights in an apartment, should be available for €40/€50 per night.

Yes, Emerald, I presumed that they would be with car, as they had not asked about buses. For this reason I suggested just one place as a base for the whole period.

|||

Jelsa, you presumed they will stay for 10 nights but you are not correct in that presumption.

Thanks everyone. I do mean that I%26#39;ll be going to Istria in 10 days, not staying there for 10 days. I%26#39;ll be staying for 3 nights only and I have found accommodations in the price range which several of you suggested.

Forgot to mention that I do have a car which give me a whole lot more flexibility.

Base yourself in Rovinj and tour the area from there.

No journey should take you more than an hour and you have the benefit of staying in the jewel in the crown of Istria!

Agreed that you should just stay in Rovinj and get to other places from there!
