1 day in Split on a cruise

I will be in Split on October 3rd for one day arriving on a cruise ship around 7:00 a.m. and departing that afternoon. Does anyone know a good tour guide for the day?

Thanks

We live in Split, so you can either hire a guide or do your own tour. What time is the departure? If you have to leave around 12:30, then you can do a Palace Walking Tour and spend some time around the old town, enjoy the fish market, green market, etc. Our Diocletian%26#39;s Palace Map is free on our website www.sightseeingcroatia.com just click on Split.

Thanks for the information. Looking forward to it.

I will also be in Split on that day, arriving on the Princess. Also looking for things to do. Let%26#39;s share if we hear of any good tours or guides.

Go to www.tours-in-croatia.com operated by Secret Dalmatia and you can see if there is something you like or you prefer a custom tailored experience.

I would highly recommend Olive Oil tour of Šolta or maybe a wine tour in Skradin...

Thank you so much. You have been very helpful. I%26#39;m checking into that site now.

The ship will have a group tour of the Palace and other attractions posted. Usually the prices are higher than what you can arrange yourself and there are 25-50 or even more people which is way too many for the Palace, that;s for sure.

There are lots of qualified guides, happy to take you in small groups and they can be hired on the same day you arrive. The licensed guide bureau office is right in the Peristil, the focal point of the Palace.

Online you can find day tours from Split leaving at 9AM or thereabouts all the way up to Sibenik or Skradin and Krka National Park.

You can also take a water taxi to Trogir, another UNESCO site, 45 minutes and do the Palace tour as well.

So don%26#39;t worry about not signing up for a tour off the boat....lots of choices once you are here!
