Thinking of visiting Croatia and staying on a caravan site. Have no idea where to stay. We like to visit as many interesting places as possible. any sugestions. I have been told to also visit Slovenia so ideas for flights from the midlands would also be appreciated. I hear Dubrovnik is worth a visit but not sure if possible from camp sites on the coast.

There are plenty of camp sites in Croatia - not too many deluxe ones but most of a reasonable standard. Beware though if you are travelling outside the main summer season as many are only open for the peak months.
The Croatia tourist board has a brochure of them and and also details on its website - www.croatia.hr. This link should take you straight to it http://camping.croatia.hr/Accommodation/AccommodationList.aspx?idLanguage=2%26amp;idDestination=1%26amp;locationType=Camp%26amp;properties=naturist|
Don%26#39;t worry about the naturist part of the link at the end, Croatia has a long tradition of providing for naturists without upsetting those of a more prudish nature so the list of campsites indicates which are naturist and which are not!

I would choose Istria and Dalmatia as a beggining and leave Slovenia for another time. It depends on the time you have. Rovinj, Pula, Opatija, Rijeka in Istria....and Zadar, Sibenik, Trogir, Split and Dubrovnik In Dalmatia are the best options.

Hi,
if you want a simple caravan site (one star, essencial), you can try the island of Mali Lošinj.Kamp Kredo or Čikat.
If you are interested in a more comfortable stay you should try Istria( know for the best caravan sites), perhaps camp Lanterna, not far away from Poreč.
