Cruise port to Rovinj

We will arrive at the Oceania Cruise Line port. Is old town Rovinj

walking distance from the port? What should we not miss? I understand the harbor area is wonderful. We have nine hours in port beginning in the morning. Is there enough to keep us occupied in Rovinj for ten 6-8 hours or do you recommend we include other sites such as Porec or Pula? If so, please recommend mode of transportation and how to access those areas. Thank you.

A decent quarterback could throw a pass from the port to the old town!

Rovinj could keep you amused for nine days never mind nine hours.

It%26#39;s a truly remarkable town.

Start at the top, St Euphemia%26#39;s and work your way down.

It%26#39;s possible to go up the old tower in the church for a fantastic view of the area.

Do it but don%26#39;t wear flip flops as the ladder/steps wouldn%26#39;t pass too many health and safety checks!

You don%26#39;t need an agenda just follow your nose and enjoy the charms of this most beautiful town.

Great to know, as we will also be in Rovinj for the day on our cruise in October. I understand Oct is truffle season there. Do you have any recommendations for a restaurant where we could enjoy some fresh truffle? Thanks!

Santa Croce, La Perla and Amfora are all fine restaurants where you should be able to enjoy the much prized Istrian Truffle.

A glass of Prosek as an aperitif

Limski Canal Oysters

Spaghetti with truffles

Istrian Platter (Mixed Grilled Meats)

Palacinke (Crepes)

I%26#39;m salivating at the thought!!!!
