Doubt there will be much available without pre-booking for August but if you PM me I do know some locals who maybe have vacancies - as to %26quot;cheap%26quot; I do not know what you mean by this as July and August are the high season all over the world !

Have a good trip !

Do any apartments come with a pool? or is that only to be expected with hotels?

Having just got back, I can HIGHLY recommend %26#39;Korcula Waterfront Accommodation%26#39;, a very short walk from town but with its own jetty (swimming is fine). Antonio and Paulina (an Aussie) could not have been better hosts and will look after you extremely well. They have their own boats and bikes for rent (at a competitive rate). You may be lucky to get rooms now, but try emailing paulina_farac@yahoo.com.au or have a look at the website: www.korcula-waterfront-accommodation.com

Their house has several en-suite rooms and a couple of lovely one-bed apartments. It%26#39;s not exactly what you ask for, but is worth it. Good luck!

Very Strange !! You have never posted before except to advertise an apartment !

|||

I have been today and checked these so called %26quot;recommened%26quot; apartments - you do need a car to get there and back and into town also a long walk to bus service - as to %26quot;cheap%26quot; I very much doubt that this is the case and the poster is a fraud and just someone who owns the apartments trying to get free advertising !!!!

I%26#39;m not getting into a slanging match with a hotel owner from Korcula (%26#39;Korcula%26#39;) about my post. I haven%26#39;t posted on here before as I%26#39;ve never felt the need - I%26#39;m not sure why this is %26#39;suspicious%26#39;. I am a satisfied customer with no links to the accomm detailed other than the fact that I enjoyed it hugely - hence my positive recommendation. To correct %26#39;Korcula%26#39;s%26#39; dubious and rather unfair comments: you don%26#39;t need a car if you can handle walking 7 mins into town. It%26#39;s worth it, but I suspect sour grapes.

No commet I said by I have said despite the slander you have sent me via PM !!!!!

I sent an e-mail to this apartment and they are certinlay not CHEAP as the heading to this links says !!!

Korcula has always given great advice and there is no reason whatsoever to believe that she has sour grapes! I am always inclined to believe a post from someone who has posted many many times about many many different topics. Keep up the good work Korcula!

I came on here to write a positive review of the Korcula Waterfront Accommodation and was shocked and disappointed to find this thread on the forum. As you can see from my history on tripadvisor, I only post reviews of accommodations I have stayed in, to seek help if going to a new destination or to help out on any forums that I can. My point being that I have NO hidden agenda here!!

I have just returned from Korcula and spent 3 wonderful nights in Korcula Waterfront Accommodation. It is run by a very helpful and friendly couple who really couldnt have done more for us (including ringing the next place we were staying in to advise them of our arrival time as we couldnt speak Croatian!!!). The twin bedded room was perfect for me and my friend. We paid €20 per person per night so €40 for the room for the night so you certainly cant call that expensive!!! It is located on a private jetty where you can sit out and swim. There is also a small beach across the water if you want. THere is a lovely restaurant literally beside the accommodation with great food and friendly staff.

Location wise, it is a 7-10 min walk to the centre of Korcula along a well lit road for about 3-4 mins and then along the waterfront for the rest. When we arrived we were collected at the ferry by the owner and driven to the apartment which was fantastic. Antonio also dropped us back (obviously for free) for our 8.30am ferry. If you drive to the apartment then it could seem like a long drive but thats only because the road goes up and around the town. The way you walk into the town is different and much quicker.

My only reason for replying extensively to this post is because I had a fantastic stay at this accommodation and would recommend it HIGHLY for anyone wishing to stay in Korcula.
