Ferry Schedule - I'm SO confused, help please!

Hi,

I%26#39;m usually quite good at planning our trips online, but the ferry schedules have me very mixed up! I%26#39;m trying to get from Split to Hvar. We%26#39;ll be arriving in Split by bus from Dubrovnik on 17 October. My questions are:

- Will it be easy to get a taxi to the port?

- When do the ferries leave Split for Hvar that time of year? I can only find the summer schedule online.

- We%26#39;re staying in Old Town Hvar - do the ferries go directly there?

-We%26#39;re departing on 19 October. What is the ferry schedule for that day for the return to Split?

Its very easy as the bus stop is right at the wharf area......just get your luggage and walk to the ferries.

Not sure of all schedules but pretty easy on this site.

No dramas if the fast boat to Hvar not at your time os booking as you can go to Starigrad and catch the bus thats always there.

The buses from Dubrovnik to Split arrive just opposite the port in Split - there is a fast catamaran the Krilo which leaves Split everyday at 4.00pm for Hvar town

this same catamaran leaves everyday from Hvar town for Split at 07.30 here is the timetable

The low season schedule is not on the site yet, do check every now and then it must appear one day.

Anyway, there have always been at least 3 ferries a day(8,30am, 2,30pm and 8,30 pm)from Split to Stari Grad and catamaran at cca 4 or 5 pm from Split to Hvar town center.

If for any reason you don%26#39;t get to the catamaran, you will take the ferry to Stari Grad, than bus to Hvar town. Bus station in Hvar town is near to the old town.

The same answer for returning to ST.

in the low season there are 2 catamaran lines from Split to Hvar and back and 3-4 ferry lines from Split to Stari Grad (approx 18 km from Hvar) and back.

the catamarans leave split at 2.00 PM and 4 PM and they arrive in hvar at 3.00 PM and 5.00 Pm (it takes only 1 hour)

from hvar catamaran departs at 6.30 AM and 7.45 AM

for the ferries you will have to check on www.jadrolinija.hr in approx 2 weeks ;)

the catamarans go directly to the center of Hvar town, approx 300 m from the main square
