Has anyone stayed at Apartment Dalmatin in Dubrovnik?
We are planning a trip to Croatia in June and found Apartment Dalmatin on the web. It is just outside the old town and looks like it has great views.
If you have stayed there can you please let us know how you liked it.
Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

My girlfriend and I are supposed to stay at apartment Dalmatin for 5 nights in the middle of July. How was your reservation process? I had to send one night deposit to Luko Dalmatin via western union. Thanks for any info! Are you going to Korcula? Hvar? I am looking for a place in Hvar as well if you have any recommendations.

The reservation was just fine. Luko picked up the money practically the same day we sent it. Costs $15.00 though. Hardly seems worth it. He is also picking us up at the airport (late night arrival) for 20 Euros, one way.

We stayed at Apartment Dalmatin this summer in August 2008, and I have been meaning to write about it since. This place was a nightmare. The owners yelled at us for using the air conditioning (even though you are paying for use) and tried to scam us for more money to conitnue to use it. I am a Croatian American that has travelled to Croataia extensively and I am embarassed about the lack of hospitality and overall rudeness that these people displayed. DO NOT stay at this place!! Overpriced for what you are getting. THe view was the onlt redeeming factor. THe rooms are not clean, the shower leaked all over the bathroom, the %26quot;kitchen%26quot; is literally a corner behind the dorr with a hot plate, mini fridge and broken dishes. This place is a rip off and the owners are awful!

I have stayed at the apartments Dalmatin for four years in a row, and wholeheartedly recommended it to several friends and colleagues from the U.S. and Europe. I am a native to the region and had gone as a kid and youngster to Dubrovnik on numerous occasions. The Apartments Dalamatin location is precious, just outside the city walls: other places in the area with the same stunning view of the Old Town and Lokrum island charge at least 10 % more for the same accommodation, which means small studios with balconies, or rooms with a garden view. Studio kitchenettes are small, which is to be expected in a studio, and showers are with curtains, hence, you may create a pond if you are not careful (this is just to correct what the previous reviewer wrote). The place is cleaned each time guests depart: the owners employ the same reliable cleaning lady for years.
The Dalmatins keep high standards of courteousness and housekeeping. Needless to say, I am planning on going there again.

We are from Norway, working in Zagreb, Croatia, and we often spend holidays in Dubrovnik, in the Apartments Dalmatin and we are absolutely content.
The apartments are perfectly clean. The beds and bed-clothes are new and clean, the kitchens are fully equipped, the bathrooms are new, nice and clean. The prices are reasonable. Location %26amp; view: amazing! Parking space available too...
The owners are very nice, kind and educated people (professor of literature), easy to negotiate with - we definitely recommend them.

Me and my family had spent our vacation to Dubrovnik in the Apartment Dalmatin. We always reccomend those apartments to all of our friends and business associates from Canada and the US. They were always very happy to be there and spend their vacation in the apartments and were thrilled to meet the curtious owners. The apartments are beautiful, very clean, kitchens are fully equipped with all appliances, and dishes are in excellent condition. The bathroom always has hot water and always worked perfectly fine. Also to mention for the air conditioning, we could use it any time we wanted to and how ever much we wanted. In regards to the charges, we did not find any concerns and we found the prices very reasonable for what was offered to us. Location is excellent with outstanding view of the Old City and the surronding Island of Lokrum. I do remember one time that there were guests that had some arguments happening between themselves and Mr. Luko acted very appropriate to get the situation under control. I would like to let everyone know that this is a great place and I can not imagine that the negative comments have an ounce in truth of them. The owners are very friendly and always willing to work with their guests and always help them out, even if it means picking them up at the airport or dock. I reccomend these apartments for everybody and if you%26#39;re travelling in Dubrovnik, give them a call because their apartments are the best place to stay!
I will always highly reccomend this place to ALL of my friends and business partners from all over the world.
