We are looking at staying at Cavtat the begining of October. Is Cavtat a good base to travel from? Is it possible to visit places like Montenegro/Sveti Stefan direct from Cavtat or do we have to leave from Dubrovnik? Would this be by boat or bus and how long does it take to travel to Montenegro/Sveti Stefan?

Went to Montenegro from Cavtat about 2 months ago . It%26#39;s a good trip and worth doing . There are 3 or 4 travel agencies in the village , all offering pretty much the same trips . I can%26#39;t remember the name of the company that we used , but it is on the same block as the supermarket near the Post Office . It is an early start / 6 pm finish on the trip and I would recommend that you go to the toilet before you get on the bus as the next chance you get is about 3 hours away .
