There has never been a ferry between Bol and Hvar. There is a catamaran each afternoon from Bol to Jelsa, but then there is the problem of how to get to Hvar, here is the bus schedule , for which I am not sure if it is to be trusted:

You have the other options, to take the excursion boat from Bol to Hvar in one direction only, or back to Split and catamaran to Hvar town -each day, The catamaran gets to the port in town center Hvar.

You can get early morning catamaran from Bol to Split.Catamarans are fast and cheap.

I took the catamaran to Jelsa and then planned to take the bus to Hvar, but it left without us, we saw it going up the hill - in advance I learned the time, but when we got there it was actually a half hour before... of course, we thought we had time so like good Croatian tourists got some coffee!

Anyway, there were 7 of us, so we got a taxi bus (asked in a few travel agencies for some numbers) and it was fine splitting it between us all. The cabbie knew the apartments we were staying at so we got front door service - definitely worth it!

Haha, hi Barry! Not really back, Im a wife now, working, have 2 kids already, woah - no time! Using a nice maternity leave now for a 4 month vacation/relocation (really, I can%26#39;t call that just a vacation) in Croatia and loving it :)))

This week I%26#39;m embarking on a little tour of Croatia - Makarska, Zadar, Istria (Opatija, Pula, etc), Zagreb, Vukovar and then back to home base: Dubrovnik. Should be fun!
