Opatija to Krk

We are scheduled for the Gate 1 13 day Affordable Croatia tour. We fly into Venice and will be transferred to the Bristol Hotel in Opatija arriving around 2:00 PM. Where we will be staying for 2 nights.

My wife%26#39;s family was oringinally from Rassapasho om Krk.

My wife and her cousin would like to visit Krk %26amp; Rassapasho. About how far is it. Should we take a cab or try to rent a car?

Any advice would be appreciated. My wife doesn%26#39;t speak any Croation but her cousin may remeber some.

I have no idea where that city on Krk is, but if possible I would rent a car for the day to get there. To me it would be nice to go at your own pace and find out about that place on your own.

I guess you mean Rasopasno. Yes,renting a car is the ideal way to get there and the total distance is about 25 miles.

Once you get on to Krk,drive about 7 miles towards Krk town,turn left at Marsici (blink and you will miss it) and continue for about 1 mile to reach your destination.

As the names of some hotel were changed, I really don%26#39;t know which hotel is Bristol, just googled for it seems that it is ex hotel Palme, anyway centrally located and you can rent a car in any of nearby agencies.

The Bristol hotel is one of the oldest in Opatija and located in the town center.There are several car hire offices nearby but your choice will be restricted as some of them require a 3 day minimum rental. Booking online in advance should get you the best rate, try economycarrentals.com
