hi
we would like to spend a week on lopud. however as we are buying a flight only deal we will need to find our own way to the aiport when we are leaving . our flight departs at 5.30 AM ! i am concerned about getting to the airport as this dreadful hour. is it possible to hire a boat taxi and if so would anyone know the cost of it ? if it would be all to difficult to arrange we are not adverse to staying put in dubrovnik and day tripping to different places for 7 days. we visited solta and hvar last ytear and loved it . many thanks .

If you%26#39;d rather be on Lopud then why not return to Dubrovnik the night before - find somewhere to leave your luggage and enjoy a late evening there.
Allowing for check-in as well you%26#39;re going to need to leave for the airport around 2.30 am.

Hi,
We came back to Ireland last having stayed on Lopud for 10 days. We enquired about taxi boat - very expensive about 700 kuna per person - thats about €100 each !!! If your flight is at 5.30 a.m. you will have to come off the island the night before. There is a hotel right across the road from where the boat comes in from Lopud called Hotel Petra or something like that. Boat to Lopud is called Postira and you can buy tickets (v. cheap) at the Jadroninja ticket office just across the road from where the boat pulls in. There are a few boats during the day from Lopud to Dubrovnik but you should check times etc. - we were leaving to come home on 5th August which was a national holiday in Croatia (we didnt know this when we booked our flight home) so we had to leave the island much earlier than planned !!!!!
Hope you enjoy Lopud - its a fab place we think - very chilled - day trippers come over on tour boats during the day and its gets a bit busy and once they go its quiet again - if you hav%26#39;nt booked anywhere to stay we would thoroughly recommend Villa Mirjana on the island. They have 4 apartments to rent (in their family home) - we had 3B - it had great view over the ocean - €69 per night for the apartment which we thought we v. good. I did see that she charged 20% extra if you stayed less than 3 nights. Mirjana who is the lady of the house will spoil you with little cakes left in your fridge every couple of nights. We had sunbeds on the balcony.
If you need to know anything else you can contact me - as you can see I am a big Lopud fan.

We had to spend a night in Dubrovnik to make a transport connection and used hostelbookers and stayed at a great place near the port. That is also near the bus station to get a bus to the airport.

How about looking for a room in Cavtat on that last night. That would get you very near to the airport.
