Help!!!! Split Port to Split Airport...

Please can anybody help me...

I am leaving Hvar island on Monday, 21/9/09 by ferry that arrives at Split port 14:00. My flight leaves just after 16:00. Will there be enough time for me to travel to the airport... what would be the best way... the Croatia airline Bus or a private taxi?

There are local buses and airport buses:

Usually , the catamaran is never late, and it docks near to the bus station. Of course that taxi is faster and more expensive.

You can also leave Hvar earlier , with the cat at 6,30 am or with ferry from Stari Grad at 11,3o am.

You will be fine. As Jelsa says, the cat lands near where the airport buses depart. Just go along and ask when the next departure is going to be, It takes about 45 mins and costs 35kn. Split airport is usually very quick for check in and security - it took us 5 mins to check in and get through security last Sunday morning but obviously you have to bear in mind the flight closure times that some carriers impose.

If you are uncomfortable with the timings then the taxi rank is just by the buses. A taxi will take about 30 mins and cost 270-300kn

10 days ago while we were still in Hvar, there was also 7.45am katamaran. It is not run by jadrolinija, but they can tell you where you could buy ticket for it. It is very close to jadrolinija office, about 10 houses down the street.

Croatia airline bus was not suitable for our journey, so we took a bus from the main coach station (5-6 min away from where katamaran docks to the right). It is cheaper than Pleso transport.
