Busabout Croatia Sailing - Dont do it !

I recently went on an 8 day sail up the coast of Croatia through a busabout tour called %26#39;Croatia Sailing%26#39;. Croatia%26#39;s coastline is beautiful....HOWEVER if you want to experience the beauty of Croatia do not book yourself into the Croatia Sailing tour.

Firstly....

the boat is tiny !! you basically sit on top of each other

then you spend all day on the boat in the middle of the sea...(we got to Hvar at around 6pm so instead of spending the day relaxing on the beach at beautiful Hvar you spend every day on a cramped hot boat with a bunch of drunk idiots)

also we got the above deck - where there is lots of noise - the people we had on the boat drank all day every day so sleeping is not an option

we also had our own shower (which was a nozzle hanging over the sink in the toilet)

oh and you%26#39;ll be lucky if you get the toilet to flush !!

Lastly the amount of money myself and my boyfriend spent on the Croatia Sailing tour we could have stayed at a 4 or five star hotel at Hvar or Miljet or any other beautiful island.

Wow... go to Croatia and waste your money! That stinks! Thanks for the report.

I think it%26#39;s just a case of doing your research beforehand about what kind of sail trip it is. Busabout is for young people who want to drink, party and sunbathe and swim. Sounds very much like the trip you got.

There are plenty of trips with emphasis on other things like culture, siteseeing etc. Or you could have done your own thing taking public ferries.

Four/five star hotels have hefty price tags, if this is your prefered style I can%26#39;t understand why you would have booked a busabout tour unless you did so completely blindly.

From what I remember Busabout do not have their own boats as they use Katarina Line. There used to be a similar setup with another company operating out of London that went bust a few years back and they used to offer trips for backpackers etc. It sounds like you were sold a trip by someone more interested in getting their commission than explaining what the boats are like and possibly loosing a sale.
