thinking of booking for nrext year is it cheap to eat her pls????

No, it is not cheap to eat in Dubrovnik. Prices are about the same as they are in most Western European countries, with seafood being even more expensive at times. It is possible to eat cheaply if you stick to pizza and sandwiches, but I assume you will want to sample some of the local cuisines while in Croatia.

We%26#39;ve been to Dubrovnik several times. This past May, we actually stayed in the small village of Cavtat, which is 30-45 minutes by boat/bus from Dubrovnik. It was MUCH less expensive and more pleasant, yet easy to get to Dubrovnik.
We have always found Dubrovnik to be quite reasonable and less expensive then most Central European countries, at least for our exchange rate (US) at the time. In Dubrovnik, if you search out some of the smaller restaurants you will save over some of the more notable spots.
Have fun.

Thanks

Hi
There are plenty of restaurants in Cavtat, much will depend on here you are staying. Pizza/pasta is pretty reasonably priced other restaurants cost much more. We paid £50 to £60 for 2 adults and 2 children for pizza/pasta with a carafe of wine, soft drinks and a bottle of water. A meal consisting of a fish platter for 2 and 2 other meals again with wine and soft drinks was about £90 - was an excellent meal though.
Hope that helps.

It is worth knowing that many places do not accept credit cards, cash only. This mostly applies to pizza/pasta establishments and cafes - also applies to Dubrovnik.
Hope that helps.

Thanks. Unfortunately we can%26#39;t eat wheat so we%26#39;ll be avoiding the pizza and pasta! Looking forward to the seafood though.

Too bad you can%26#39;t taste our extraordinary bread here, they are so very good. If you%26#39;re willing to wander around the old town of Dubrovnik, you will find restaurants which serve good food for a good value. You will not find many places here which are %26quot;cheap.%26quot; Our prices are the same as many other European countries and Dubrovnik prices are usually higher. Perhaps you may be better served by staying at one of the towns towards the north such as Korcula or Trogir or Zadar.
Dobrodosli u Croatia
