Transfers from airport are easy:bus,taxi... Hotel in Zadar: Bastion is the best and on best location. Kolovare is second best in terms of location...

we spent the last week in beautiful Zadar. Stayed in the apartment Fontana. Our hosts collected and brought us back to the airport. It is 40m to the sea and 15min walk into the city. We took a boat trip to the National Park - bit choppy but very good value €30 including basic breakfast and lunch. We went to Borik area where most of the hotels are situated and it is about 45min walk. Taxi%26#39;s are very scarce and we did not see many buses. Beautiful city and lots to see. Great restaurants lovely fish and steak dishes. Bars on every corner. Also very inexpensive in comparison to Irish prices.

Have just come back from Zadar, stayed in Apt Miodrag, on the town side of Borik, very handy for getting around. Near the sea, and easy to walk into the old town. We were picked up at the airport by the owner, Nico, for €15 , better value than a taxi. The apt we stayed in is booked, but you could email him re his other one: info@apartmani-miodrag.com or see the website; www.apartmani-miodrag.com. Good luck, I%26#39;m sure you%26#39;ll have a lovely holiday, Zadar is beautiful.

Magdileana, Forgot to say that I think a trip to one of the isalnds would be a lovely thing to do, we really enjoyed ours. Go to the Jadrolinija ticket office on the quay in the old town.We got over and back to the nearest island, Ugljan, for less than €5, and hired bikes from the tourist info office there, which is incidentally more than 500m from the port, as the sign says.
We also went on a day cruise around the Kornati Islands, had a great day, and would really recommend this. It cost 250kuna, about €35, inc breakfast and lunch.

Hotel Bastion in the center is the best option. For the trasport from the airport look on the right of this page TOP QUESTIONS. I explain there everything.
There is a bus from the airport every half an hour after the flight, it%26#39;s cheap and fast (25 kune). The buses are organized with the arrival flights. It can seem strange, but consider that Zadar airport has only 3 gates and only a few fights every day.
