We just got back from Dubrovnik and stayed at Apartment Dijana for 4 nights. We stayed in Apartment 1 which really is more like a big room with a bed, sofa and a kitchen area. There was also a small balcony with a spectacular view of Old Town Dubrovnik and the Adriatic Sea. Dijana, our hostess was wonderful. She arranged for taxi pickup from the airport, and greated us with a glass of wine when we arrived. Every morning she brought us turkish coffee to enjoy on our balcony. She invited us to use her internet whenever we needed it to check emails etc. The place is immaculate. The bathroom was roomy, but the shower is small. It is less than a 10 min. walk to the Ploce gate, but returning to the apartment requires going up alot of steps. That didn%26#39;t bother us very much, because we were gone pretty much all day, and just came back at night. Besides, it was great exercise after all the eating we did! We had breakfast on our balcony and there is a small grocery store just down the road. We are glad we stayed outside of Old Town, not only for the fantastic view, but I would think that it could get quite noisy in Old Town depending on where you are staying especially as it gets more crowded this summer. We highly recommend Apartment Dijana!

Dijana was a very lovely hostess, she even did our laundry even though we kept trying to intervene so she didn%26#39;t have to do it.

It is alot of steps, almost to the top of the hill. 350-365 steps total depending on the route you take.

We stayed at Apartments Dijana in early September 2009 for three nights. Our room was clean with a comfortable bed, well-appointed kitchenette, and a nice bathroom. We had a small terrace all to ourselves, which was connected to a larger terrace where Dijana%26#39;s friendly father often hung out during the day. Views of Old Town from the terrace are stunning, thanks to the Apartments%26#39; position high up on the hill in the Ploce neighborhood. Dijana was an outstanding hostess - washed our laundry, offered tips on Dubrovnik, brought Turkish coffee in the mornings and cold beer the day we arrived. The Apartments are a 10-minute walk (straight down a long set of stairs) to the Ploce gate into Old Town. The delightful Banje beach is just a short distance away, also. Rates were extremely reasonable and parking was available.
