Not fully sure of your question. There is only a regular car ferry between Makarska and Sumartin on the island of Brac. There is another regular car ferry between Drvenik (south of Makarska) and Sucaraj on the island of Hvar. Both ferries are more frequent on the Summer schedule which ends tomorrow compared to the Winter schedule which starts on Thursday.

If without car, the only way is bus to Split and ferry or cat to Hvar.
With car: drive to Drvenik ferry as Mutiny suggested. No bus.

ok i love hvar but fancy a change as ive been 3 times this year where do u think i would like if i love hvar.

Are you looking at just the islands or mainland too? For islands I would suggest Korcula, Brac or Vis.

i dont want a boring place but it has to be wheelchair friendly for my blind dad.
