( fastlines@samer.com http://www.samer.com ) which says %26quot; “Trieste Lines” has conveyed us your e-mail. We are their agent and ticket- office. The line starts its summer service in May and ends it in the second half of September. The schedule and fares will be known only in March/April next year. As soon as we get them we shall send them to you.%26quot;

Hi Tynecastle - I%26#39;ve been e-mailing the Adriatic Hotel for rates for mid-June 2010 - actually not too bad. Have any knowledge of that place?

Also, do you have any recommendations for in-town charming properties for a 3 night stay?

The Adriatic is in a great position and has been refurbished quite recently.

I haven%26#39;t stayed there because it always looked until now like an afterthought in the Maistra group of hotels.

It does however offer superb views across the square and harbour.

My own favourites are Istra on Red Island,a short boat trip away and Angelo d%26#39;Oro in the old town.

Istra because of the swimming and the romantic boat journeys.

Angelo d%26#39;Oro because of its beauty and charm.
