We have just returned from Island hopping in Croatia. We spent a few days in Korcula and would like to return next year as we loved the island.
Our apartment on Korcula in the village of Medvinjac was, however, disappointing. Not very clean, TV didn%26#39;t work, etc. Does anyone know of any good, clean accommodation?
We would need two bedrooms, preferable a double and and twin, air con, balcony (with a sea view if possible) and satellite television. We appreciate that a lot of Croatia is hilly and don%26#39;t mind a short, steep walk up and down to the nearest town.
We are disappointed with apartments in or just outside Korcula town itself.
Would anyone recommend any other area on the island? We thought about Lumbarda.
If anyone can advise we would be very grateful.

Hi Marshfamily.
See my post in the thread %26#39;Korcula Town or Lumbarda%26#39;. As I%26#39;ve said we%26#39;ve not been before but it looks great (I just hope the accommodation you stayed wasn%26#39;t this one!)

We are just back from a week in Apartment Segedin - again in Medvindjac. Three double rooms, air con and a huge balcony. The furniture and deco was all very basic, but functional. The owner was very friendly and gave us a lift to and from the ferry. We paid 80 Euro a night.
Lumbarda might be fun for a night or two - but I didn%26#39;t think there was enough there for longer - similarly with Vera Luka. Good luck

We have just come back from Lumbarda, and stayed at Apartment Val, the location was idealic. There is a nice 2 br apartment avail with great views. The main terrace is open to other guests, but each of the other two aparts have there own private terrace. Everything is sparkly clean! There is a washing machine, free wireless internet, kitchen, sat tv. Toni the owner is an amazing chef and we ate in each night on a terrace, choosing whatever he reccommded- though there are two higly reccommeded restauants in the village. The water is so clear and great for swimming
