We have just returned from two weeks holiday at the Miramar Hotel and fully agree with the majority of comments, posted on Tripadvisor site,for the hotel of the excellence of the high quality food,the friendly %26amp; professional staff(particularly Lyerka and Sonja)and the facities/events arranged in the town and the pool area.It is certainly a hotel to be recommended for a relaxing time.
The trip on the Blue Tornado fishing vessel to
was very intersting and enjoyable with the guide/hostess Lilianna making the day a memorable one.
Arriving late evening we were wrongly taken through the stepped garden to our room in the Blue building, resulting in a fall and treatment in the local clinic and visit to the hospital in Rijekas.(high praise to these services)No swimming for one!!
It was noticed that some residents were having difficulty moving about the hotel and grounds due to the many steps which were not mentioned on any of the publicity brochures:- from David - East Sussex UK

Interesting report David, thank you. Yes Opatija area is hilly and that%26#39;s why many stairs even around the hotels. Are you sure that you were not transported to ortopedic clinic in Lovran, which would be logical, because nearer and higly specialised for injuries, with exception of head injuries?
