We are arriving in August this year and know that you arnt allowed to swim in the plitvice lakes any suggestions were a nice place to swim would be close by we are 6 adults and 2 teenagers.

Dunno, I was swimming in the lakes when I was a kid, and there were plenty of others doing it too. Things might have changed, but I%26#39;d bring a pair of swimming shorts anyway!

It isapsolutely forbidden to swimm in the Plitvice lakes, the nearest would be the little river Slunjčica in beautiful village Rastoke. Google for it.
