What is %26quot;reasonably priced%26quot; in your opinion?
|||
Dubrovnik doesn%26#39;t really have B%26amp;Bs. There are hotels and there are private apartments. Apartments generally don%26#39;t include breakfast, but hotels do. Hotels near the Old Town are Hotel Excelsior, Grand Villa Argentina, Hilton Imperial, and Pucic Palace. All of these are fairly expensive, though. There are lots of apartments in and near the Old Town and a good website for finding them is www.dubrovnikapartmentsource.com. You%26#39;ll also find a lot of comments on trip advisor aout specific apartments.

We stayed at guesthouse S%26amp;L in 9/09 and were very happy. He has a small apartment for 45 euros and a 2 rooms with a shared bathroom for 35 euros a night (9/09 rates). I booked it through hostelworld.com and it was amazingly clean. There is a bus at the end of his street that will take you to old town in 10 minutes and it runs every 20 minutes. Antonec, the owner is constantly cleaning and the place was spotless. We wanted to take him home. He also takes all of his guests up to a museum of the 91 war and this is on the highest point overlooking Dubrovnik and was the best place to take pictures of the old town. He also gave us a ride to old town 2x. His house is beautiful. On the day we left, he picked grapes for us to take with us. We booked the apartment but it was not available the 1st night, so we stayed in the room which was just fine. There is a common kitchen and a large screen TV and computer in the kitchen. We picked this place because it had free parking, but would stay there again with or without a car.

Thanks for all the info. We have just returned from staying at Villa Sigurata, the location was perfect and the accommodation was spotlessly clean. But the best asset is Nicolina, who could not have been more helpful. Would definately recommend staying there. Ringoden
